Vodafone Smart which has been available in India for quite some time now got officially unveiled by Vodafone in India today. Guess the price ? It is priced at just Rs.4995 or under $100 for a 3G Android Phone, not bad at all. It sports a 2.8 inch capacitive display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor.It packs a 2 megapixel camera which is capable of video recording. The phone supports video playback( MP4/3GP ) and supports microSD cards up to 32GB and a 2GB card comes in the box. It also support Stereo FM Radio and MP3 playback. It comes with a 2 year warranty and double 3G data for Vodafone subscribers. Vodafone introduced it's Facebook phone at a similar price tag and now I think it is trying to set the world record for the cheapest 3G android phone. Good work Vodafone ! Now can you think of subsidizing high-end smartphones also ?
