Meizu Chief Executive Officer J. Wong made it official that they will indeed be releasing a quad core version of theMeizu MX and that it would certainly be one of the most highly anticipated releases from the company this year.

Of course, we all know the buzz around its dual core brother, and Meizu can’t help the fact that it gained another level of popularity and thereby decided to release an upgraded version. The quad core Meizu MX will be available by May of this year and we will see a revamped Flyme OS User Interface to accommodate the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. For the benefit of all, the custom UI made by Meizu turned out to be one successful agenda after it began as a guinea pig for those manufacturers with very vivid imagination. After making it packed with glittering specs, it gave birth to the Meizu MX version 1.
The Meizu MX boasts an Exynos 4210 dual core processor made by powerhouse Samsung that was also originally fitted to the Samsung Galaxy SII. Its next generation model will most likely be toting the Samsung Exynos 4412 quad core quad core SoC– a beefy package of all the essentials.
Is it safe to say the Meizu is on the verge of completely changing the face of the smartphone competition? It is a definite possibility and with the unveiling of its latest quad core device, Meizu will downright be making digital waves.
