[Breaking] Sony buys out Ericsson’s 50% share in Sony Ericsson
We're still waiting for more information regarding this but Reuters reports that Sony has bought out Ericsson's 50% share in the Sony Ericsson joint venture. Sony Ericsson has recently completed 10 years of the JV and started off making feature phones and the iconic Walkman , Cybershot series of devices. Ericsson will receive 1.05 billion Euros in cash for its 50% stake. Consumers can expect future Sony smartphones to have close integration with the Sony ecosystem including the Playstation brand. Samsung Wave 3 Hands-On
We already know that recently Samsung India has launched three new smartphones in 3 different platforms namely, Android, BADA and Windows Phone. We attended the launch event in Delhi and here are the hands-on photos of Samsung Wave 3. Enjoy… The Samsung Wave 3 is the latest flagship model from Samsung in their BADA line-up and priced in India at Rs. 19600/- which is MRP. As we all know that BADA is the Samsung developed OS for their own devices. BADA is also going to be Open Sourced in 2012 as per Samsung Global. The new Wave 3 actually has a uni-body but battery is still removable as we can slide the battery door towards up and can remove the battery. It's definitely one big advantage than other manufacturer’s unibody design where battery is not removable. Wave 3 uses a 1500mAh battery. The Wave 3 is almost made of fine Aluminium including the sliding battery door with brushed metallic finish which feels quite fantastic in hands. Limited Edition Porsche Design P’9981 BlackBerry Unveiled
RIM and Porsche took off the wraps from the P'9981 today. The phone is a limited edition Blackberry OS7 based smartphone to be sold only at select Porsche dealerships. What sets apart the phone ? The forged stainless steel frame, hand-wrapped leather back cover, sculpted QWERTY keyboard, and "crystal clear touch display." It will ship with an exclusive Porsche Design UI and a bespoke Wikitude World Browser augmented reality app experience and also premium Blackberry PINs. The spec sheet includes a 1.2Ghz processor , NFC capabilities , microSD card , 8GB of onboard space and HD video recording. The phone is expected to sell for around $2000.
