Acer is about to announce a new Iconia Tab tablet, namely the Iconia Tab A200, which was spotted recently at Bluetooth SIG.
Acer's upcoming Iconia Tab A200, which was leaked last week, has now shown up at the FCC. Specs are still unclear, though the measurements revealed at the FCC, at 11.7 inches when measured diagonally, suggest the screen size will be near 10 inches. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are also expected to be onboard, and it will come with an unspecified version of Android.
Iconia Tab A500 offer 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra dual core processors, 10 inch touchscreen display with 1280×800 resolution, 16 GB data storage and 1GB of RAM value. For your connectivity, there’s full-sized USB 2.0 port, mini-USB, HDMI output. Data storage expandable up to 32GB, since microSD card slot is also available. 2 MP camera packed in front-view, while 5MP camera is built in the rear part of the handset. The 5 MP camera is able to record 720p HD video and also supported with LED flash light. Battery life is estimated to provide up to 8 hours standby time.
The images of the label also indicate the device will be about 7mm thin, or far thinner than the original and the iPad 2. It's expected that the A200 will slot in between the A100 and A500 in terms of price and specs, as its name suggests.
At the very least, the FCC listing is a very strong indication that the tablet is coming to the US and may be near, perhaps as soon as Christmas. [via Wireless Goodness]
