Aircel launching the iPhone 4S in India on Nov 25th :Review

An update on Aircel's official Facebook page yesterday said, "Aircel brings iPhone 4S to India...launch details coming soon".

The announcement was followed by a similar update by Airtel on its Facebook page which said, "Airtel will be launching iPhone 4S soon. Watch this space for more."

Apple had launched its newest member of iPhone smartphone family in October.

The 4S, which hit the US market on October 14, comes with the same design, shape and size as the iPhone 4, but boasts of certain additional features that made it an instant hit among users who have been able to lay their hands on it.

The iPhone 4S comes with the A5 chipset, which also powers the iconic iPad 2. Besides, the dual-core Cortex-A9 CPU and PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU is a potent combination.

The phone has both GSM and CDMA connectivity. Also, one of the major points of attraction of this latest upgrade from Apple is the camera quality. The iphone 4S comes with an impressive 8 megapixel camera. The video recording facility in the phone has also been upgraded from 720p to 1080p.

However, the single biggest 'iPopping' feature of the 4S is Siri, the feature that responds to voice commands and allows you to 'send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls and much more'. Apple's 'humble personal assistant', Siri receives and understands commands made in simple, everyday language, which means users do not have to learn commands designed specifically for the phone to understand you.

Aircel has now announced a date for it's iPhone 4S launch. The operator just shared on it's Facebook page that it is launching the iPhone 4S in India on Nov 25th. Yesterday Aircel and Airtel announced they are launching the iPhone 4S in India soon. We guess Aircel (and Airtel) might announce their pricing ( and weird money back plans ) on the 25th. We don't have any details about the pricing but should have some info soon. The iPhone 4S packs a Dual Core CPU , 8MP Camera with Full HD video recording and the interesting virtual assistant Siri. Looks wise its almost same as the previous iPhone - the iPhone 4. The device runs on iOS 5 which is the latest operating system for iPhone , iPad and iPod touch. iPhone 4S is coming to India on 25th November 2011. Aircel a rapidly growing mobile phone service provider in India announced their plans to bring the latest version of most successful iPhone to India on 25th November. Aircel confirmed the release date of iPhone 4S in India on their Facebook page. Final date confirmed after the announcement made on their Facebook page on Friday that “Aircel brings iPhone 4S to India…launch details coming soon !”.

India’s largest mobile phone operator Airtel also announced on their Facebook page that they are launched iPhone 4S soon. Airtel mentioned on their Facebook “Airtel gets the new iPhone 4S to India. Watch this space for more!”. Airtel didn’t confirmed final release date but possibly on 25th November to compete with Aircel.

Both operators not yet confirmed price details of iPhone 4S in India. But based few rumours, price of iPhone 4S in India starts from 40,000 INR for 16GB and 50,000+ INR for 64GB model. Airtel has more 3G coverage compared to Aircel across India. 3G may be advantage for Airtel to grab more customers as good 3G coverage is most important for smart phones like iPhone.

Apple released iPhone 4S on October 14th 2011 and seen tremoundus demand from the customers across the world. iPhone 4S packed with powerful A5 processor and 8 mega pixel camera. Most successful feature of iPhone 4S is Siri, a artificial intelligent voice assistant. Siri is not only useful but also a funny app iPhone owners to play with it by askingfunny silly questions. Siri is currently in beta and may not be able to understand all accents. We have to wait and see how reacts to Indian English accent.
