With Android growing at a very faster pace, even faster than our imagination. Now it seems that an all new product has arrived and this time it’s again the Motorola, after the recent Motorola Droid Razr Android device which is the thinnest smart phone ever in the universe, it’s time for an all new device which is named as the Motorola Corvair which basically is aimed to become your living room device. This Corvair is basically the Android based Television controller. Still this product from Motorola hasn’t launched commercially as its still under testing as Motorola is still reportedly in talks with all major cable operators so that this device can be bundled with their Set top boxes.
There are no disclosures when it comes to the list of specifications it has as it may vary with the one which will launch commercially. But the only thing we can say is that it will be an ultra affordable device as it is here to enhance the TV viewing experience. There’s also IR control and RF4CE, which is a Zig Bee-based RF control protocol, as well as a high-capacity 4,000mAH battery which can last really longer than expected. We have also managed to get some exclusive pictures of this device. After Google TV, this comes as a huge relief for all those who like to watch television and to make the most out of it as it also allows you to view all the program guide in a very intuitive interface. Also, this device which has a 6 inches of the screen size you can easily use this as your phone and also you can use it as your tablet too.
This tablet is a 6 inched tablet which works on the Gingerbread 2.3 firmware and can communicate with the other devices which have the IR or say Zig bee with R4CE. The best part of this is that you will be able to convert your dumb TV remote with this smartest device ever called as Motorola Corvair. Do let us know about your thoughts on this device in the comments section below. Once the device gets launched, we will see on how exactly this device fares up and if possible we will also see on how you can update the firmware of Motorola Corvair only on AndroidAdvices.com. This device marks as a best ever device which can become the future of home automation.
There are plenty of WiFi-connected remote control apps for tablets, dongles for IR control and even an IR blaster built into Vizio's tablet, but here's a Motorola slab purpose-built for the coffee table. The Verge has received several pics of the Motorola Corvair (and its packaging), a "dedicated controller for the connected" ...something, which is apparently in testing with unnamed cable companies right now. It's a 6-inch tablet running Android 2.3, that the box shows working as a remote control and apparently mirroring its display on the TV screen. Other notes indicate it's optimized for low cost, packs a healthy 4,000mAh battery, and can communicate with other devices via IR or Zigbee's RF4CE spec (where's Android@Home?). That would line it up perfectly to tie in with home automation systems like the one Motorola and Verizon just launched, as well as potentially provide a sweet platform for content discovery. The only downside? Unless Moto goes against type, this will probably never see retail and we'll have to wait on our cable company to figure out a way to charge extra for one and slap their own ugly software on it -- here's hoping that's not the case.Motorola Corvair 6-inch Android 2.3 tablet outed, destined for the home automation set?
