Motorola to launch a Facebook phone: Review

Motorla is set to launch a new phone dedicated to Facebook fans. The phone which appears on theMotorola website is expected to be launched in India at the same time as it is launch elsewhere in the world.

While there is no mention of operating system, the specs are decent, with 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth as connectivity options. The keypad is a full Qwerty type with dedicated number buttons and a special Facebook button. The screen size is not mentioned but it looks like a 2.6 inch unit.

There will also be a 3.0 mega pixel fixed focus camera that can capture videos at 30 frames per second. The battery is a 910 mAh unit which should offer decent talk time given the fact that its a feature phone.

Today Motorola taken an initiative by announcing their first Facebook phone, name of the phone is “Motokey Social (EX 225)”. I would like to inform you that, this Facebook phone has not been officially announced yet. But the handset catalog is updated on the Motorola’s official website with a “coming soon” chit.

The phone, called Motokey Social is a touch and Qwerty phone with dedicated Facebook button. The device is likely to be launched at about Rs 6,000.
