Aakash tablet, India’s ultra low cost tablet manufactured by Datawind is now available for purchase online. The upgraded version of the tablet, Ubislate7 (Aakash2 tablet) is available for pre-order. The Aakash tablet is powered by Arm11 366Mhz processor and runs on Android 2.2. It is WiFi enabled and comes with 2100 mAh battery. Both these tablets come with 7-inch (800x480 pixels ) display, 256MB RAM, 2GB internal memory with 32GB expandable memory and USB ports. The UbiSlate 7 is powered by ARM Cortex A8 700 Mhz processor and runs on Android 2.3. It is WiFi and GPRS (SIM & Phone functionality) enabled and comes with 3200 mAh battery. There are also optional accessories such as Car charger, External antenna, Keyboard case available separately.
