Beetel, a part of the Bharti Group, recently launched its third tablet device, the Beetel Magiq Glide in India for Rs. 11999. However, the Glide is an enhanced version of the original Magiq BeeTel a completely new development. As such, tablet pc windows much of the function of the original Magiq is also part of the last Glide BeeTel if the display was fortunately changed for the capacitive type, which is indeed a welcome development.
Thus, the spec sheet for the Glide BeeTel looks like this: a 7-inch screen (however, the tablet is somewhat elongated and thus resembles more like a smartphone on steroids) android 3.0 tablet a 1 GHz processor, Froyo Android 2.2, 8 GB of internal storage with the ability to add 16 GB more with microSD card slot and the front and rear camera 2 megapixel resolution. The tablet also has a Wi-Fi and 3G is powered by a 2200mAh battery. The android market in Magiq Glide offers accessibility to a unique world of android applications for the customers.
“The Glide Magiq is the latest addition to our range of Magiq success of tablets which was highly appreciated by Indian consumers. After a thorough market research and keeping in mind the comments of our previous customers about our products we have developed with the Glide Magiq. The new tablet has all the features available in our previous products that our customers appreciate more and we added a capacitive touch screen to enhance the tactile experience, “said Vinod Sawhny, Executive Director and General Manager, BeeTel Teletech Limited during the unveiling of the tablet.

Also looking at this price range we found another tablet from the house of HCL, and that is HCL Me X1. Lets compare both the tablet. Both the tablet providing the 7 inch capacitive touch display that produces decent images at 800 x 480 pixels but the graphics aren’t mind-blowing. The biggest difference between these two are the Android operating system version. HCL ME has the upgraded Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) operating system while Beetel Magiq Glide installed the older Android version 2.2 Froyo. Me X1 tab has 4 GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32 GB, while Beetel Magiq Glide has 8 GB Internal memory which can be expanded up to 16 GB. The HCL Me X1 tab comes with 3500 mAh battery which seems powerful enough to run a whole day, however Beetel Magiq Glide comes with 2200 mAh battery.
The Magiq BeeTel was a decent tablet and now with one of his biggest grouse supported with a capacitive screen in place of the resistive screen in the old, comparative tablet pc Glide to the Rs 11,999 can be a lucrative purchase.
