LG has launched the Optimus LTE L-01D in Japan. NTT Docomo already announced the LTE device in their NEXT series this October. LG announced the device for Korea this October and it launched earlier this month in US on AT&T as LG Nitro HD. The LG Optimus LTE L-01D comes with a 4.5 inch (1280 x 720 pixels) True HD IPS display with 326 PPI and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It is powered by 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm snapdragon processor and features an 8MP Auto focus camera with LED Flash, 1080p HD video recording and 1.3MP front facing camera. Other features include, 1GB RAM, 4GB eMMC and a 16GB microSD built-in that is expandable up to 32GB with MicroSD, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n with DLNA support, Bluetooth v3.0, aGPS, HDMI and 1830mAh battery. Red colored LG Optimus LTE L-01D would be exclusively available for NTT Docomo customers along with the features such as 1seg digital TV and NFC (Near Field Communication).
The biggest mobile carrier in Japan, NTT DoCoMo, has just announced it will launch the Fujitsu Arrows Tab LTE F-01D next month. The tablet will be released alongside the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
The main difference between both devices is that the Fujitsu’s device is waterproof. We don’t think the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 would like to be treated with water, so don’t try this. Otherwise you could just make it quite useless.
NTT DoCoMo’s new 4G Xi network is one of the reasons the Arrows Tab LTE F-01D will be available there. The tablet features a 10.1″ 1280 x 800 display, a dual core OMAP 4 processor clocked at 1 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, 5.1MP main camera along with 1.3MP front one, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, and a microSDHC slot.
Running on Android 3.2 ( Honeycomb ), the Fujitsu Arrows Tab LTE F-01D hasn’t yet received pricing details. Fujitsu is yet to announce whether it will launch the device in other countries.
