Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc LT15i :Review

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc LT15i is a sleek touchscreen phone with Android Gingerbread OS. It has a 4.2" TFT LCD screen with LED backlighting and capacitive touch. The phone has 8.1MP camera with LED flash, Sony Mobile Bravia Engine for enhanced video viewing experience, and HDMI connectivity support. It has 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and Bluetooth connectivity. Other features include 1GHz processor, GPS/A-GPS, direct access to social networking sites, 3D games, and 32GB expandable memory.

Today, attention in the industry for 2011 International CES Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show, Sony Ericsson released a new generation of world series of flagshipsmartphone XPERIA Xperia arc LT15i.

On the back of  XPERIA Xperia arc LT15i, there’s an 8MP camera with Sony’s Exmor R photo enhancement technology,with f/2.4 lens. The camera is also able to record 720p HD. There’s an LED flash too. And, theres an HDMI out port. The arc-like design results into only 9mm thickness on the both ends and 8.7mm in the slimmest part.

Under the hood, you’ll find Android 2.3, with a 1GHz Qualcomm processor pushing everything along. The display is a 4.2-inches. There’s a 3.5mm audio jack, and the standard additions: 802.11 WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth connectivity and 512 MB RAM. There will be an 8GB microSD card bundled with it so that should provide you with adequate storage out of the box.

The 4.2-inch capacitive display is attractively called the Reality display. It uses Sony’s BRAVIAmobile Engine, which does real-time noise reduction, sharpness, color management and contrast enhancement on the picture. It has 854×480 pixels resolution and is covered with a scratch-resistant glass. There is still no official info on the screen type, but I believe its TFT.

we saw although a bit disappointed that it will be released running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and not Android 2.4 Honeycomb which we were hoping for.
