If you happen to be a fan of Dr. Dre’s audio (Beats) and HTC, chances are you’d be thrilled with upcoming HTC Primo. Word on such handset was shared through Stuff.tv.
Yes, you read that right as HTC Primo will have the Beats Audio Technology embedded on it. To make things more interesting, its operating system (OS) would be the well-known Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) whilst having the HTC Sense 4.0 on top of it. This handset is said to have a 3.7-inch touchscreen which is made bolder by the Gorilla Glass feature. Directing the functions from within is a 1GHz dual-core processor while RAM is a good 512MB. Taking stills and videos will be a breeze as its 5-megapixel camera is capable of 720p HD video capture and it will have an f-stop of 2.0 (it wouldn’t be a problem taking photos on low-light areas with such) and dual shutter functionality.
Those setting their eyes on the Primo can check it at the 2012 Mobile World Congress (end of February) as its expected to make its way on said event. As for pricing, no details are available but we’d like to see the Primo hit the entry-level price because a lot of customers would really be happy and pay for having both ICS and Beats.
HTC Primo Specs and features:
- 3.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass
- 1GHz dual-core processor
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
- 512MB of RAM
- 5-megapixel rare camera
- dual-shutter on the camera
- f/2.0 aperture
- Beats Audio
HTC Primo has its own Beats Audio integration; Amazing 5 MP camera with dual LED flash light helps you to take perfect picture shoot even in dim light and video recording up to 720p offering at very great price. Leak information about HTC is $ 250-$ 300 here in the states making this phone very affordable with a new 2-year contract. To wrap everything up and seal the deal this phone will be coming with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
These specs make the Primo same version of the HTC Rhyme launched last year. If true it would sport the same sized screen and processor of the Rhyme, although carry less RAM which is a strange move. The Rhyme also carries a 5 megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording. Like the HTC Sensation XE, the new phone supposedly comes with Beats Audio. So HTC is making common sets as they were successful last year.
