Lenovo provided a teaser video of its IdeaPad S110 fitted with the latest Intel Cedar Trail processor – which is part of the ultra-low-voltage Intel Atom series featuring dual-core CPUs, utilizing 32nm fabrication process and 3.5 W TDP.
The video didn’t specifically mention its innards but we heard that it sports an Intel Atom N2600 (dual core, 400MHz clock frequency), 1GB onboard RAM, 320GB HDD storage, 2MP webcam, WiFi connectivity, optional 3G feature, USB 3.0 port. Meanwhile, the video portrays that the S110 will have a 10.1-inch HD display and a full-size AccuType keyboard for a more comfortable and accurate typing. The S110 only weighs 1.15Kg, measures 16mm thick and will be shipped in a variety of colors including white, red, blue and black.
It’s also interesting to note that the company had decided to drop the term “netbook” and instead named its contraption a “mini notebook”. We are not sure if this is just another marketing gimmick or if it has significance on the device’s built. Another interesting feature is the “instant-on OS” allowing users to quickly get online without the need to boot into its OS.
