TomTom has signed a strategic agreement with Samsung to bring their own global maps and satellite navigation service on the Samsung Wave smartphone with 3, OS Bada. Anyone in possession of a unit of the device will soon have to provide a quality product which is offered by TomTom, although not yet been announced a date for the official debut of the software.
On Samsung Wave 3, besides access to maps of TomTom, you can take advantage of useful information at points of interest, view 3D maps of various cities as well as real-time information on traffic and notifications about speedcams. There will be over 200 maps of various countries of the world and will be provided over 35 million kilometres of road networks.
It is therefore a great opportunity for the Samsung smartphone with Bada, and at the same time that can expand to TomTom so even on a new slice of the public; the South Korean manufacturer had announced in November that he sold over 8 million devices Bada. As stated below by David Noh, vice President of Technology Alliance:
Applications are the most important thing for our customers and we needed a partner able to support our strict quality requirements and TomTom took the opportunity.
