Apple stores in China halt selling the iPhone 4S

Just a few days back we had heard and praised Apple for deciding to sell their latest iPhone 4S in China, but just before the device was going to be launched Apple decided that the doors to the Apple stores will remain shut and the sales of iPhone 4S in all the Apple sotres in China will be stopped temporarily. The main reason for this is, huge crowd gathered outside the Apple stores for buying this new device, they were worried about the products being tampered with and also for the safety concerns of employees and customers. The sales of iPhone 4S has been stopped in Beijing Apple store and three other stores in Shanghai. Though it is available in various unofficial retailers and outlets and is also available online. This decision was not welcomed by iPhone fans gathered outside these stores as there has been news about the stores being pelted with eggs, and shouts outside the stores because all these people have been waiting for the doors to open from quite some time. Apple has also said that the sales has been stopped temporarily and will resume pretty soon. So all the people in China should be patient and wait for

Samsung Promises Better Battery Life in Smartphones

In recent years, manufactureres have managed to create phones that can even rival some of the dedicated computers in terms of performance. But the battery life is one aspect that hasnt improved over time. Although the battery capacities have increased, the actual battery life remains the same if not lesser than previous generation mobile phones. Samsung has now acknowledged the problem relating battery life especially in their devices. According to Kevin Packingham, VP at Samsung product innovation, Samsung is trying to build phones whose battery lasts a full day under moderately heavy use. They know that battery life hasn't been the best aspect of their smartphones but they've made progress. They would improve battery life not just by optimising the battery usage but also using larger capacity batteries. But he also stated that power users might always end up facing the problem and that they would have to resort to carrying extra battery or using battery packs at least until solar power becomes popular. He described 2011 as a transitional year due to the implementation of new technologies and promised that 2012 will deliver better quality smartphones.

The Dell XPS 13 is presented, as the name suggests, as a ultrabook with 13.3-inch screen. Its size, however, are rather small, so that the same American company would dare compare them to those of a 11-inch model. As for the processor, you might have installed a series of Intel Core i5 and i7 various powers, while the graphics will be handled by an Intel HD 3000. The format is only available memory SSD, to ensure the size (18 mm) and weighing just 1.36 kg, with denominations of 128 and 256 GB. Nokia Lumia 900 Best of CES 2012

Has not yet come on the market, but the new and highly anticipated Nokia Lumia 900 has already garnered a great result. It has been named “Best of CES 2012″, ie the best new mobile phone presented during the show in Las Vegas. This award is divided into categories and the product of the Finnish triumphed among the phones, beating even the new Sony Xperia S.
The prize is awarded by CNet through the votes of the users, which also has an important significance from the point of view of the market. It is not a vote piloted or evaluated by the experts themselves, but directly by customers. A predominantly American audience, which will be precisely the objective of Lumia 900, which is scheduled for release in March exclusively with AT & T, even if you have not yet revealed pricing and general availability.
The Lumia 900, however, has been awarded for its unique characteristics and overall: 4.3-inch AMOLED screen and support for ClearBlack LTE are two of the most popular. Of course, the Lumia 900 is not the only device with these features, but the award was given for the quality as a whole. Moreover it seems that Nokia is preparing to launch an aggressive, with a very affordable price.
At the moment, as you do not know the prices are not yet announced plans to launch in Europe. We are still waiting to see live this new product series Lumia, who like his “brothers” is equipped with operating system Windows Phone 7.5 Mango.

LG LM9600

LG LM9600 was exhibited at CES 2012 in Las Vegas with great satisfaction of the audience to stand for more than 2000 square meters is also known as the HD TV without a frame because the frame around the screen is almost imperceptible, just a millimeter. As we can see from the image above the new TV is all very dedicated to the display, for the record that has a diagonal of 55 inches, with the image that stops just 5 mm from the outer edges of the TV. Behind the pixels are a substrate of Nano LED deployed throughout the area for a warm, satin and with a drastically reduced energy consumption. But is not the only innovation of LG at CES 2012 in Las Vegas.
Surely the biggest surprise – and we mean big giant – was the monstrous 3D HD TV with diagonal 84 inch Ultra Definition or HD 4K resolution to 3840 × 2160 pixels. For now known simply as LG 84UD, but the name could change at launch. And ‘ultradefinito, but especially also with 3D Cinema technology that FPR with a special filter that is applied directly to the screen free from the use of stereoscopic glasses, which can be replaced by those no stress, polarized filters. Does reflect, however, that the color or millions of pixels are illuminated with LEDs and EDGE technology Nano Full LED. It will also include the Smart TV and Blu Ray. It should arrive in the second half of the year.

At the LG booth was also an innovative 55-inch OLED TV which we have spoken extensively, very thin, like a smartphone, and potentially applicable everywhere like “A wallpaper”, so it was described at the time of launch. He also uses the Narrow Bezel Design or at least the outline around the screen itself. The Smart TV – practically every new model it is – will benefit from a pool of less than 1200 applications.
LG OLED TV 55
One of the most popular accessories is the new Magic Remote that in addition to betting on technology similar to that of the Nintendo Wiimote to point and click adds three new modes of interaction. The first is that with voice commands that can be directly “spoken” with Voice Recognition, was also inaugurated a new series of Magic Gesture and the mode wheel to wheel through. Furthermore, it was also presented a model with full QWERTY keyboard. In the rest of the stand were new flagship 3D monitors with LG IPS technology DM92 Cinema Screen.

webOS 3.0.5 now rolling out on HP Touchpad

I am sure many people have bought the HP Touchpad during the fire sale, some people to use Android on it and some people just because it was cheap and needed a tablet, whatever reason maybe HP is rolling out the webOS 3.0.5 update for their Tochpad which is a clear sign that webOS is still not dead. Well we heard a few days back that Hp was making webOS open source and also is in talks to sell webOS, it might be their strategy to update and show it is still quite competitive O.S in the market so that there is someone to buy it. But it is really nice to see that HP has a dedicated team working for webOS. This update increases the performance, takes care of some bugs, the email client has been improved, the video call feature has been improved, and many other enhancements have been added, I am sure webOS fans will be really happy to see this update. Google restarts roll out of Android 4.0.2 update for Galaxy Nexus [Download]

A few weeks back the Galaxy Nexus users had reported about the device getting  4.0.2 update to their devices, but later we came to know that Google pulled off this update due to internal issues and now people from various countries using the Galaxy Nexus have reported that Android update 4.0.2 is rolling out for the GSM version. With the 4.0.2 update it solves many bugs present in Android 4.0.1, other than that the face recognition has been improved, special effects when using front facing camera has also been improved, there has also been a visual improvement to the lockscreen. DivX support which is was present earlier has been removed but Google has promised that they will bring back the support in a later update, many other features have been enhanced and bugs have been solved. With 4.0.3 already rolled out for the Nexus S, I wonder what is keeping Google back from updating the same version to the Galaxy Nexus, the 4.0.2 update was meant to be a month old update which has been rolled out now and they will be taking some more time to roll out the 4.0.3 update, or will they directly go to 4.0.4 without updating it

LG 3D Ultra Definition 84-inch TV

LG has decided to make it big and Las Vegas has brought a TV really crazy. This is the LG 3D Ultra Definition, define a giant screen that is even an understatement. This is not just a TV and high-definition quality, but has a good 84 inches diagonal.
A product that is getting a big hit in Nevada and we are certainly not surprised. This is a TV that can hardly go unnoticed. We could almost say that it is a complete no more than: exaggerated size, 3D functions and, of course, Smart TV. The image can be up to 8 million pixels and its resolution of 3,840 × 2,160 is four times higher than the other full HD panels. The frame is very thin and looks intriguing, such as to interfere as little as possible to the vision, especially in 3D mode. The latter is controlled by an advanced depth control, which also operates the three-dimensionality of the sound. The Smart TV also allows you to access up to 1,200 applications for use directly on your TV. It should be noted in this case 3D Zone, a service that allows you to choose from a good selection of movies in 3D.
This is complemented by the Magic Motion Remote Control LG. This particular controller provides access to four different functions to enjoy the show in full: Voice Recognition, scroll button, and Pointing Gesture Magic. The cost has not been announced, but we are sure it will be something to match its size.

Lenovo IdeaTab S2

Lenovo has announced the next generation of Android tablet IdeaTab of the range, ie Lenovo Lenovo IdeaTab IdeaTab S2 and K2, at CES 2012 in Las Vegas (which has yet to formally begin) immediately created a great stir. It is not difficult to see why: the Chinese company has taken its cue – no, let’s say roughly followed the trail – the rival of Asus going to formalize a model very similar to the much appreciated Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime, S2. It has also unveiled a tablet more traditional, with large capacitive touch screen or K2. Above some ‘photos of S2, after the jump and video specifications.
There is no doubt that Lenovo IdeaTab S2 is a kind of clone as the Asus Eee Top Pad Transformer against which differs very slightly. In addition to the structure with coupling / uncoupling quick and convenient full QWERTY physical keyboard that turns it into a notebook, we identify several common features such as the Android OS 4 Ice Cream Sandwich. The quad-core processor is Nvidia Tegra 3, but a less powerful dual-core Snapdragon Qualcomm MSM8960 S4 1.5GHz with 1GB of Ram.
Above a hands-on video with the new Lenovo IdeaTab s2. The battery Lenovo IdeaTab s2 is a range of long-term promise of 20 hours with QWERTY keyboard permanently attached dock. A partial pressure to a minimum because the quest for originality, the Lenovo S2 will mount a special user interface that integrates with the Android Mondrian going to offer a more complete and profound. Little is known of the sheet apart from the presence of cameras / video cameras on both sides, Wi-Fi, GPS, compass, Bluetooth, one third of an inch thick and weighing about a pound and a 10-inch diagonal display. It will be released in China now, we probably around May.
But is not the only good news that Lenovo has also presented the family with a great tablet quad core processor Nvidia Tegra 3 and screen in Full HD. This is IdeaTab K2, a tablet classic and extremely powerful. The data sheet of the new K2 integrates a 10-inch screen with multitouch IPS technology, quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM, operating system, Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4, an 8 megapixel camera with full HD sound recording, front camera, HDMI, microUSB and SD, GPS, compass, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G mobile navigation and fingerprint reader.
Lenovo IdeaTab K2
Expect information on prices and the hope is that Lenovo does not fall into the trap of presenting prices hallucinating, or lose all accumulated good so far. Asus Eee Top Pad Transformer costs $ 499, Lenovo will have to overcome this bar for S2 and to keep well in with K2.

Book Indian Railways tickets through Mobile using Paymate, Ngpay & Atom

Booking Train Tickets is getting easier and easier – Gone are the days when a very slow IRCTC website was the only channel for booking train tickets online. Now we have IRCTC partners like Cleartrip & others who have made booking tickets a breeze.
And according to the announcement made by IRCTC today – it is going to get even easier. In July last year, Indian Railways had announced launch of their Mobile ticket booking application, which I could not find at that time on any of the Indian Railways website. The announcement made today is probably the same mobile application that was announced over 6 months back.
Even this time around, only after searching for about 15 minutes on IRCTC website, was I able to find the details of the said mobile applications.
It seems that IRCTC has directly partnered with all these 3 mobile payment gateways and all three viz: paymate, ngpay and Atom provide their own application for searching, booking & paying for Train Tickets.

Paymate Railway Ticket Booking Application

The users will have to first download the Paymate application by visiting here. Follow the instructions and download the application to your mobile and you are on your way to booking train tickets on your mobile. This application will most probably not work on most feature phones, but supports all major smartphones for booking tickets. Paymate app also supports flight tickets, movie tickets and shopping along with Train ticket bookings.

ATOM Railway Ticket Booking Application

ATOM mobile app is very similar to Paymate, but it also supports feature phones along with smartphones. You will obviously need your GPRS to be enabled to buy tickets on Atom.  You can get more information about the app on Atom website. Like Paymate Atom also supports various other bookings apart from train tickets as well!

Ngpay Railway Ticket Booking Application

Ngpay is also very similar application to both mentioned above. Users have to download & install the mobile app on their GPRS enabled phone. According to their website, ngpay works on just about any mobile phone, from basic models to high-end ones.
All 3 of them promise extreme ease of use as well as high end security for booking tickets on their platform.
All in all it is a great step forward by Indian Railways. Mobile train ticket bookings are sure to shoot up with the launch of these apps. If you are planning to book tickets next time, try booking them through these mobile apps and let us know what you think about them.
