Acer Liquid Express NFC Version launched in UK – Price & Specs :Review

While Acer’s Liquid line of Android smartphones hasn’t exactly set the world on fire, the company is proceeding with its rollout with the latest model in the United Kingdom. The Acer Liquid Express (sounds like drain cleaner, doesn’t it?) is launching now at T-Mobile and Orange locations across the country, distinguishing itself as one of the only low-end smartphones to offer near-field communication (NFC) technology for quick wireless retail payments.
The Liquid Express runs on an 800Mhz Qualcomm processor and an as-yet unannounced amount of RAM. That’s not the fastest thing on the block, but it should be more than enough to run Android 2.3 Gingerbread comfortably. A 3.5-inch screen with a 480 x 320 resolution will have to suffice, while a respectable 5-megapixel camera handles shutterbug duties. It’s hard to tell without physically touching the device, but it looks like Acer has some minimal customizations to the Android launcher running in the software.
The price is right: free on-contract for both T-Mobile and Orange. That’s a pretty good deal for those just getting their first smartphone – though if recent studies are to be believed, there aren’t that many left in the UK who fit that description. You can check out a second press shot of the budget smartphone below. In the US, AT&Tmight be preparing something similar with the Acer Liquid Mini, though it’s been so long since we’ve seen it that it would need a significant upgrade to be relevant.
Acer Inc, a Taiwan based electronics company has launched C6 Liquid Express in United Kingdom. Continuing its runs with the Liquid series of phones, Acer with Liquid Express introduces the Near Field Communication technology i.e., the NFC technologyfor the first time on its smartphones. The phone has been released on the Orange Mobile network and also with T-Mobile.
The Acer C6 Liquid Express comes with sharp 3.5 inches LCD touchscreen display which makes your smartphones experience to the best feel whether you are browsing or playing games or watching videos online. The phone is powered with Qualcomm MSM 7227 processor clocked at 800 Mhz along with the likes of ROM and RAM with 512 MB. Everything is very best with this phone. With the inclusion of 5 mega pixel camera on the rear side you can take the advantage of better photos, video recording at 720p HD videos with autofocus and zoom in features.
The handset offers connectivity via 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0 can be used for wireless file transfer between media devices and phones. The phone overlays the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and provides access to Android Marketplace to discover applications and widgets which you can add it to your phone. The phone has the form factor of 115 x 13.4 x 60.8 mm with a weight of 135 grams. The DLNA feature allows you to share content with DLNA enable devices to view the content on HD devices.
The Acer C6 introduces the feature of NFC technology to share content with other phones using tap and share capabilities. It includes connectivity via micro USB 2.0 to your PC. The battery lasts for 20 days standby time and 6.6 hours of talk time. Along with that minor functions like mp3 player, FM radio, video playback, MMS, multimedia viewing & 3.5 mm headset jack.
