
Lenovo just unveiled three new LePad tablets in Beijing, and it's now announced two new Android smartphones to add to the product lineup. The LePhone K2 is the more impressive of the two, with a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 4.3-inch IPS display, an 8-megapixel camera capable of 1080p video capture, 1GB of RAM, and 1GB of storage. Details on screen resolution aren't available at this time. The S2 is a midrange device, with a 3.8-inch 800 x 480 TFT display, single-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm chip, and comes in two variants: a model with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, or a 512MB version with 8GB onboard. Both offer an 8-megapixel CMOS camera for taking stills or 720p video, and weigh in at 4.23 ounces.
Unfortunately for those looking to jump in with Google's latest and greatest, the K2 and the S2 will both be running a skinned version of Gingerbread, with no word on whether they'll be receiving the upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich. While there's no pricing or availability details on the K2 yet, the WCDMA version of the S2 is on sale starting today for RMB 2,990 ($468), with a TD-SCDMA variant to come in the near future.
Yesterday Lenovo launched LePad S2005 a 5 inches smartphones, LePad S2007 a 7 inch tablet and LePad S2010 a 10.1 inches tablet. Again today Lenovo announced LePhone K2, S2 and S760 smartphones.So let us go through these devices which are announced and we will see them from the makers of Lenovo.
Lenono LePhone K2
LePhone K2 is an Android 2.3.5 smartphone with amazing 4.3 inches LCS IPS display with capacitive touchscreen and multi touch. Powered with dual core MSM8260 processor clocked at 1.5 Ghz the phone provides lightning fast response time with ROM and RAM at 1 Ghz. With 8 mega pixel camera you can record HD video at 1080p.
The LePhone K2 is slated to be released early next year.
Lenono LePhone S2
The LePhone S2 is a 3.8 inches Android phone with capacitive touchscreen display, multi touch and capable of displaying a maximum resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The phone is powered with Qualcomm MSM8225 processor clocked at 1.4 Ghz to provided quick response time along with the likes of 512 MB of RAM and 1 GB of ROM.
LePhone S2 will be powered with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system and it will includes amazing 8 mega pixel camera with HD video recording capabilities at 720p. Along with that it will have 8 GB of internal memory and microSD card slot expandable up to 32 GB in size.
Lenono LePhone S760
The Lenovo also showcased the 3.7 inches LePhone S760 running on the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS. Its powered with 1 Ghz processor with 512 MB of RAM and amazing AMOLED display that we see in the latest Samsung smartphones. LePhone S760 includes 5 mega pixel camera with Lenovo’s usual customizable user interface. The phone looks very much similar to the LePhone S2 model and its expected to hit the China market in December 2011.
There is no detailed pricing information available on all the three handsets mentioned above.
