As the market of tablet grows, netbook seems dying but Asus thinks the other way introducing the new Eee PC 1225B netbook. Powered by AMD’s Fusion E450 or C60 processor, the 1225B gets AMD Radeon HD 6320 or AMD Radeon HD 6290 for graphics and up to 4GB of memory.
The new Eee PC comes with up to 750GB hard drive. It has a 11.6-inch 1366×768 LED-backlit LCD display, a 0.3 Megapixel camera, a multi-in-1 card reader, HDMI output and two USB 3.0 ports. The Eee PC 1225B supports Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity. There are built-in microphone and stereo speakers as well.
With an elegant lightning design, the ASUS 1225B comes in a variety of colors, finishes and textures.
Asus has officially announced the Eee PC 1225B, a new notebook that rocks a feature set that places it somewhere between an ultraportable and a netbook. The 1225B is fronted by an 11.6-inch display, making it the 12.1-inch 1215B’s smaller brother with the same 1366 x 768 resolution, but with a newer engine with AMD’s Fusion APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) that combines the dual core processor and Radeon discrete graphics for multimedia performance.
The Eee PC 1225B comes in to models, with a standard spec that includes a dual-core 1GHz C60 APU and 2GB of RAM, and a high-end spec that runs on a dual core 1.65GHz E-450APU and up to 4GB memory. Either option comes with a 750GB hard drive, USB 3.0 ports and one USB 2.0 port.
The laptop also packs a 6-cell battery that’s rated to last for 7 hours of wireless action on a full charge into a frame that measures 35mm thick and weighs 3.1 pounds.
As usual, Asus didn’t include pricing details, but it’s set to ship next year in matte gray, red and silver colors.
