Last year was not a great year for HTC, their target profit was not achieved and also their devices were overpowered by the smartphones and tablets coming out of Samsung's camp . Partnership with Beats did not market their products to a great extent. This year they are expecting to make their device superior and more powerful, and they will be leading the charge with is the HTC Edge, a quadcore nVIDIA Tegra 3 powered beast, which they will be showcasing at MWC. Frankly speaking I am not very excited about this device because quadcore is just a marketing strategy, though it uses 4 cortex A9 processors, the L1 and L2 cache provided is equal to the one present in Tegra 2, which means nVIDIA does not expect anyone to use more than 2 cores at a time. Also we should note that Tegra 3 is a synchronous processor which will result in the consumption loads of battery, but we hope that the fifth core will be able to help us here. Superior processing power and a really powerful GPU makes it the leading processor available in the market right now, but how long will they be able to hold this ...

Scosche cellControl: Review of Features and Price For Drivers
Driving and using the cellphone at the same time is a very dangerous combination. Notwithstanding all kinds of warnings on this matter, the fact remains that most drivers find it irresistible to check those phones even when driving. If ever you belong to these kinds of drivers, then perhaps it’s time for you get cellControl.
cellControl is the newest innovation from Scosche. This is a driving system, which integrates the phone and the vehicle to ensure safe driving. The system works by blocking all incoming text messages, phone calls and internet access while the car is in motion. In effect, cellControl gives the driver an excuse not to touch and use the mobile phone when driving. Specifically, cellControl is helpful to drivers who have made it a habit of using the phone whenever they are driving. “Habit” in this case means they cannot help themselves from using the phone no matter how much resolve they put on such effort.
Drivers can use the cellControl by buying the app and downloading it on their mobile phone. The user must activate the system by going to the Scosche website. Last thing to do is to install the trigger unit that comes with the system into the vehicle’s OBD – II interface.
Scosche said that cellCONTROL can be used by over 1,200 cell phones and with all types of cars in the United States since 1996, provided there is an OBD-II in the car. The system works without the driver doing anything. Thus, when the car is in motion, the system automatically kicks in to block all cellphone functionalities that may tempt the driver to use the phone, unless the system detects a hand-free headset. As an added safety protection, the system cannot be removed or tampered since a signal of these acts will be sent to a “designated administrator”. Finally, cellControl works one on one with the enrolled phone, which means that not all phones inside the vehicle will be affected.
cellControl is now available for $129.95 at Scoshe’s site.
PS3 3.55 Hacked Firmware: Play PS3 Games Using PS Vita Via Remote Play
Remote Play is a little feature included in the PS3, PSP and the PS Vita which allows the handheld consoles to connect to the PS3 and access the data stored within, meaning games can be accessed and played. However, not all games are compatible with Remote Play, which annoys some owners of the PS Vita, considering titles for the console are far and wide.
However, it seems some users have gotten tired of waiting for games that support Remote Play, as several videos on YouTube show several PS3 titles being played on the Vita. Some of these games include Red Dead Redemption, Mortal Kombat and Batman: Arkham City, and they look like the real games and not just some well-made copies.
How is this possible? Apparently, these people have managed to get ahold of hacked versions of Sony’s PS3 3.55 firmware, which recognizes the Vita as a mobile device when linking the devices via Remote Play. The 4.0 version of the firmware is reportedly Remote Play-compatible, and Sony claims to have plans for all PS3 games to allow Remote Play some day, but the hacked 3.55 offers a wider selection than 4.0, and there are just some users who cant wait to get their favorite games on the handheld.
Sony hasn’t made any comments about the videos, but earlier this month, the company has sued a hacker for jailbreaking the 3.55 firmware to make it compatible with homebrew apps, which may mean that once it gets wind of these videos, a court hearing may not be too far off. If you’re planning to get yourself a hacked 3.55 version for your PS3, be careful. See the video below to believe!

Integral 32GB microSD card Review with Price
We've been using the Integral 32GB memory card for quite some time now in our Nokia N8 and Samsung Galaxy Note. Using it under different scenarios lets us test the limitations of hardware under real life use such as recording 1080p video or copying a lot of music. The card in question is capable of Class 4 speeds. Most phones comes with a minimum of 16GB storage these days which when supplemented by this card gives you a healthy 48GB to store your music and movies on. We ran the the Integral 32GB microSD card through a few benchmarks to gauge its speed. Both CrystalMark and HDtach report read speeds of about 9.7mbps and write speeds of 3.441. This is not fast by any stretch but should suffice for casual usage. Loading up movies and music on the card will take quite some time due to the low speeds of the card. However recording HD video and high resolution photos was never a problem. You can get the Integral 32GB card alongside other accessories like mobile phone batteries from Mobile Fun for about $70.

Nokia Lumia 900 Review :India and UK Release Date, Price Still Pending on Carphone Warehouse
Less than two months after the release of Nokia Lumia 710 and 800, Espoo unveiled its first LTE equipped Windows Phone branded as the Lumia 900 destined for a global release. Today, we received confirmation the new 4G phone is etched on Carphone Warehouse which means, its possible release date on UK will be around soon.
Going back with the discussion, eagle-eyed customers have spotted a listing under Carphone about the Mango-equipped 4G handset slated for a release this June. Obviously, everything is still tentative in fact, the page where the leak was purported is now gone. Just a refresher, the main advantage of Lumia 900 with her older siblings is 4G support putting its DL speeds up to 21Mbps (theoretically). Aside from that, it comes with a front-facing cam for video-chat, better screen panel and beefed out battery. The rest of its specs are the same like 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED display, 512MB RAM, 8MP shooter camera and powered by 1.4GHz single-core Snapdragon CPU.
Nokia Lumia 910: Rumored Specs and Release Date Next Quarter
Rumor has it that Nokia will be launching sometime soon the Lumia 910. Of course, we’d love to see first a unit wherein we can have a hands-on but were surely keeping our fingers crossed on this especially that Nokia just showcased the Lumia 900 back in CES.
The camera will be the distinguishing factor as the 900 will pack a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera (Carl Zeiss f/22) that has LED flash and ability to record videos at 720p HD. On the other hand, the front-facing camera is a good 1-megapixel that utilizes f/2.4. Battery is the 1,830mAh which is embedded on the phone since its built is a unibody polycarbonate.
Murtazin have also mentioned that release of the 910 would be in May which is a month ahead of the 900’s release in UK. As they say, “to see is to believe,” that’s why we’re waiting for Nokia on official word on this.
HTC Primo Review: Affordable Price and Release With Beats Audio?
If you happen to be a fan of Dr. Dre’s audio (Beats) and HTC, chances are you’d be thrilled with upcoming HTC Primo. Word on such handset was shared through Stuff.tv.
Yes, you read that right as HTC Primo will have the Beats Audio Technology embedded on it. To make things more interesting, its operating system (OS) would be the well-known Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) whilst having the HTC Sense 4.0 on top of it. This handset is said to have a 3.7-inch touchscreen which is made bolder by the Gorilla Glass feature. Directing the functions from within is a 1GHz dual-core processor while RAM is a good 512MB. Taking stills and videos will be a breeze as its 5-megapixel camera is capable of 720p HD video capture and it will have an f-stop of 2.0 (it wouldn’t be a problem taking photos on low-light areas with such) and dual shutter functionality.
Those setting their eyes on the Primo can check it at the 2012 Mobile World Congress (end of February) as its expected to make its way on said event. As for pricing, no details are available but we’d like to see the Primo hit the entry-level price because a lot of customers would really be happy and pay for having both ICS and Beats.
HTC Velocity 4G Review: Speed Performance and Price Update For Australia
Telstra Corporation Limited is starting a new campaign, offering up a batch of 4G-enabled mobile devices in Australia, and they’re going to be the first ever 4G phones the country will see. So far, only one phone has been unveiled, but Telstra promises that there will be 3 more coming, along with a 4G tablet in the middle of the year.
However, Telstra is talking about a 4G campaign, so it only makes sense that the Velocity has been enabled for 4G connectivity. Given its speed on a 3G network, you can expect it to be even faster on Telstra’s 4G network. According to the first tests made by Australian Android community Ausdroid, it ran a download speed of 32.82Mbps and an upload speed of 11.26Mbps. However, two tests run by gadget enthusiast and radio personality Trevor Long managed to top the site’s results with 39.85Mbps and 11.88Mbps for the downloading and uploading rates respectively, and again with the higher speeds of 40.77Mbps and 20.07Mbps. These rates are certainly impressive, but future users may not get these same speeds if they decide to go with Telstra, as connection speeds are always likely to vary.
Unfortunately, the Velocity’s OS is not as impressive as its speed rates, but Telstra promises to have an update to Ice Cream Sandwich within six weeks. For now, it runs on Android Gingerbread and is currently available on Telstra’s site with a variety of plans and prices.
Samsung Wave 525 Hands-on Review – A Budget Conscious Phone with Price
Today, We are back with one more Hands-on review of a medium range device i.e. Samsung Wave 525. Previously, we reviewed Samsung’s cheapest Android smartphone i.e. Samsung Galaxy Y. I know what’s going on your mind that why I am talking about this old stuff of Samsung Wave 525 S5253 now. Reason being is I got a chance to have hands-on to this device, and as always how can I forget to share my experience with my readers. I believe “it’s better late than never”, am I right?
The Samsung Wave 525 GT-5253 is a bit old device but still manages to keep good market share for those budget conscious users. If we are considering it as a smartphone then it won’t be totally distracting but will be a unique concept with Samsung’s very own Bada OS.
eye3 DSLR Helicopter: Price and Release For New Flying Robot
Aspiring photographers and video makers know this problem very well: Getting a bird’s eye-view of things, but not finding the right altitude or angle to take those shots. However, a computer programmer decided to take matters into her own hands and make a gadget that will allow for gorgeous aerial shots without having to climb trees or stand on buildings.
It sound promising, but if you’re worried that the eye3 may crash and wreck your expensive DSLR, Sigler and her husband promise that the copter is very durable with a frame made out of fiber glass and high-precision carbon. As there are 6 rotors, the eye3 wont immediately crash if two of the rotors fail, allowing you to land it safely for repairs. Repairing is also easy, the Siglers claim. Replacing parts will be inexpensive, and only basic soldering skills will be needed.
The eye3 chopper also comes with two kits, basic and advanced. The basic kit will be given only to those who have experience in flying, as it doesn’t come with the autopilot function. Meanwhile, the advanced kit priced is geared toward beginners, with autopilot, GPS navigation and a full set of spare parts for repairs, and the pro kit will carry a charging station for the camera. However, all kits don’t have the TX/RX cables needed, so you must supply your own.
The basic kit will be priced at $999, while the advanced kit will set you back for $1,499, and the pro kit will be sent for $2,499. To get your own, you need to go to the eye3′s Kickstarter page and pledge the right amount of money to the project. Once you’re done, you can expect the Siglers to mail your package in April. As there are still 29 days till the couple ends donations and gets to work, there’s still time to check your finances and see if you can afford a kit.
New Xbox 720 Specs with AMD GPU: Launch Date on 2013?
While Sony is contemplating on the idea of a PlayStation 4 and Nintendo brewing up a storm with the Wii 2, there is no doubt that Microsoft will also be having plans of their own. Admittedly, all three manufacturers are very well in a state where the development of a new concept has become a habit – a habit that has led them to be recognized from the world over.
Sources indicate that the Xbox 720 will don an AMD 6000 series GPU, speeding past Nintendo’s upcoming Wii U by almost 20%. The said GPU was introduced last year and with the said application to the new Xbox, it will most likely be somewhat similar to the Radeon HD6670: DirectX11 support, multi-display, 3D and 1080p HD output. Graphics wise, the 720 is also reported to be six times greater than that of the Xbox 360. The idea of creating the Xbox 720 was actually brainstormed by the production team behind the Xbox 360’s success back in March of 2007.
Mass production of the GPU will begin to cycle by the end of 2012 and developers are set to be given their respective development kits on the system’s configuration come August. Its Kinect 2 integration was a no show as well as its estimated price.

AMD Ultrathins with Trinity processor
We had talked to AMD’s plans for this year already 2011. Already there, it was clear that AMD will also grow in the Ultrabook ring. Only just under a different name, because if no Intel in it is, is also no Ultrabook. Instead “AMD presented” its ultrathin models.
They are equipped with the new Trinity processors. These should range technology used on the Ivy bridge or sandy bridge. However the manufacturer details keep still covered so that it is not yet known how much performance is exactly. But we already know that. The new APUs for Ultrathins should have a maximum TDP of 17 watts. So the situation is not in any model. The Trinity models for traditional notebooks, AMD is planning a TDP of up to 35 watts.
But AMD over Intel can book a great advantage. The price for the “Ultrabooks of AMD” is significantly lower than at Intel. For comparison: Ultrabooks cost an average of between 800 and 1,200 euros. However, Ultrathins be at a price of under $500 settled.
In February to delivered the first Trinitiys w
Medion Akoya E2312 Review
I have never seen this Medion signed machine but its characteristics are interesting against the prices proposed by CDiscount. Launched at €449, the site offers the €379.90 version 4 GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It is a 12. 1″, which seems dull, I failed a find resolution and equipped with an AMD E – 450 dual core 1. efficient 65GHz with its Radeon HD 6320.
Skytex X-Series
It is not yet a well-known manufacturer, but this first shelf under Intel Atom Cedar Trail N2600 dual core running at 1. GHz shows us not yet is time for the Atom from a design perspective and finesse shelves.
The Skytex X-Series is a 10 1″ capacitive 5 points under Windows 7 offers a resolution of 1280 x 800. It all aboard its processor Cedar Trail 2 GB of RAM and 60 GB of SSD. In addition to 2 webcams (1.3/5 megapixels) provides the basic elements of the genus Tablet: MicroSDHC, type 802.11 b/g/n Wifi card reader. It also has a 3 G option via a key. Bluetooth 2.0 with development on the side buttons used to pair easily a keyboard and a mouse. 2 Port USB 3.0 will be more useful to connect devices in this format as the hard drives.
I have great interest for this tablet for the moment, unless a specific pro use. It seems clear enough time that Intel must concentrate on the Medfield to reach this market more effectively.
Archos Smart 4G Review
Archos will in the future with XenSource Gemalto (security company specialized cards in the microchip production in SIM & EC) & Wysips (specialized in the production of solar cells) and the research institutes (Eurécom, LPICM and IMN) cooperate, only for a project, this has it but quite beautiful in itself. The aim is that “smart 4 g tablet” to create, this is of course to a tablet which is to operate independently from the power supply. This is made possible by transparent solar cells which (should) be applied to the display. Also a 4 g/LTE to be modem integrated, which could take advantage of a new developed SIM cards. Also, a NFC module is installed. The details are still scarce and the development period is specified with just under two years, it will be certainly still a short time before ARCHOS will present such a tablet. I am very curious to see whether the Tablet actually could operate independently from the power supply, if the solar cells provide enough power, whether it is a reasonably cheap price have or ever appear.
Asus U44SG Notebook Review
Asus has not directly had a booth at CES, but when NVIDIA we have discovered a new device that brings not only a dull 14.0 inch display with 1366 × 768 pixels resolution (in a 13-inch housing thanks to thin frame), but also still a NVIDIA GT610M for much power to work. The ASUS U44SG is Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processors, HDD or SSD options and above all a 83Wh battery ships, to persevere in up to 10 hours.
Good processing, many connections such as HDMI, USB 3.0, LAN, S/PDIF, HD webcam and more convinced us directly. The current price of 1149 euro with the Intel Core i5 2450M (2 x 2.5 GHz), 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD and Windows 7 Home Premium deter something though, but with the 19 mm thin body and 1.7 kilograms, it reflects a few brownie points.
You take a look at the pictures themselves in following and visited the official Web site for more hardware info. There will be soon surely cheaper versions, because until the sale is to go in February.
Archos Arnova 7b G2 Review
ARCHOS is to provide known good and cheap Android tablets. Some time ago the 7B has surfaced briefly on the homepage of Archos G2 and the 10B G2, at that time there was this but not many details. Amazon reveals to the device unfortunately not too much, but the price is known, and this is incredible 99€! Changes to the specifications probably not much, a Cortex A8 single-core will be probably a 1 GHz CPU processor installed (probably 2918), 4 gb memory installed be (expandable via MicroSD), Wi-Fi and a camera with still unknown number of megapixels. The larger brother, the ARNOVA to record however 10B G2 videos at 720 p and thus the camera not can be so bad.
The display in the 7 b G2 is capacitive and has a not too big resolution of 800 × 480, also only Android gingerbread is used. Now it’s up to developers to adapt an ice cream sandwich Rome, then it would really be the Knaller. Available it will be in 2 to 4 weeks, is are already very excited about.
LG Optimus Pad LTE Review
New pictures of LG Optimus pad in the network fears about some time ago, now LG has announced the LG Optimus pad official, which is however for the time being remain Korea in South. The Tablet is similar to the “predecessor” (I think it is only an improved version), it lacks the 3D properties however. The display is still 8.9 inches tall, dissolves with 1280 × 768 pixels, have 1 GB of RAM and up to 32 GB Flash memory. For this sitting a GHz dual-core chipset from Qualcomm and a 6800mAh battery inside. As the name suggests, an LTE modem is installed. 3.2 Even Android honeycomb is used as the operating system. It is of course now difficult to say whether it could somehow manage the way on this. The data sound quite modest compared to the competition, it must appear here not necessarily, when it comes to me.
AMD Radeon HD 7000M Series
AMD has shown 2012, its at CES, known by the codename “Trinity”, APU (accelerated processing unit) generation and also about the GPU (graphics processing units) of the “Radeon HD 7000M series” spoken for notebooks. In this context, the chip maker turned out, that 7000M-GPUs to appear very soon mobile, manufactured in the 28-nanometer manufacturing process.
However, to which new GPUs it will here be in detail, and it eventually should follow the naming scheme was not yet clear. There are already some notebook models with GPUs of the 7000M-Serie in trade recently – they are all only unnamed models of the predecessor series “Radeon HD 6000M” and thus continue to be made in the 40-nanometer process. The subject website Anandtech.com had the opportunity to maintain more detail on the subject with representatives of AMD and then luckily could explain the strategy behind the Radeon HD 7000M series.
The GPUs of the model series are all named VLIW5 GPUs of the 6000M-Serie 7400M, 7500M, 7600M. These GPUs defends AMD itself somewhat, however, simply to refer to “renamed”, to read as in the report of Anandtech.com is. -The company prefers to speak of the term “recycled”. – But the fact is, “renamed” comes close already quite the thing. The 7000M-GPUs have been published so far are based on the Northern Islands architecture of predecessors and are produced in the 40-nanometer process. Of course AMD has can optimize this process in the course of time, therefore, customers should expect even minimally better performance and energy efficiency of the chips as still in GPUs from older production series, as Anandtech.com noted. To hold remains, Northern Islands GPUs used AMD for the lower and middle price segment in the 7000M-Serie.
AMD’s remarks against Anandtech.com are really interesting now, you will be using the “Radeon HD 7000M series” drive a two-track strategy. Internally, the company had drawn a clear dividing line and behind the GPUs of the 7600M-Serie. Including these models is only around 40-nanometer chips with known VLIW5 architecture, from the models of the 7700M-Reihe and in addition be 28-nm GPUs with GCN (graphics core next) architecture used, so AMD.
This mobile GPUs should be variants of the graphics processors referred to in the development as “Pitcairn” and “Cape Verde”, which however eaten less power. “Tahiti” GPUs are reserved the desktop graphics cards market for the foreseeable, according to the report of the Web page. The new features of GCN architecture, such as DirectX 11.1 support, VCE (video codec engine) and “Zero Core Power Technology” supports the new high-performance 7000M-Chips, when they come onto the market, the AMD staff confirmed this.
AMD called still no concrete date of publishing for this really new 28-nm GPUs, but there are numerous references, probably in April or at the latest should be so far with the start of the market. AMD then sends representatives of the southern islands GPU family in the running for the best benchmark results of mobile graphics cards.

In the ThinkPad edge E530 Lenovo Intel uses the latest generation processors, they are referred to but not closer. Most likely is Intel CPUs of the next generation of Ivy bridge. In the case of ThinkPad edge E535, AMD Fusion APUs are used as notify Lenovo. Again, no details are known, which suggests that also here new hardware in the form of AMD Trinity APU will be part of.
Lenovo specifies, the devices will both be dedicated as also integrated graphics to get. What GPUs however are offered, in also nothing left to learn. Nissan unveils self healing iPhone case
Using technology developed for its high end cars like the 370z , Murano and the X-Trail ; Nissan has managed to develop an iPhone case which can heal itself on being chipped. The science behind the seemingly magical case is that polyrotoxane , the material used for making the case automatically reacts to chips and fill in the gaps due to its molecular structure. The iPhone case is made from ABS plastic to create a tight and rigid case, and its coated with Scratch Shield paint. The scratch resistant paint creates a better grip to hold the handset. Nissan is currently testing the case with a few journalists and a group of beta customers. [Via - CNET]
Researchers find security flaw in Blackberry Playbook
Researchers from the Intrepridus Group have found out a security flaw in the bridge feature of the Blackberry Playbook tablet which could potentially let hackers have complete control over a user's email and calendar. The researchers explain that the Bridge feature involves token files for authentication. Due to a bug in the OS , these token files are accessible in a file which is readable by all users. The chances for damage however remain minimal as the hack requires the presence of a malicious app on the tablet before the hacker can do any damage. RIM has already closed the security hole in its upcoming Playbook OS 2.0 update.
